Fuel It — Returns & Refunds Policy (Australia)

 

Returns

Our return policy lasts 30 days from the date of delivery. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer a refund or exchange unless required under Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

To be eligible for a return, the item must be:

  • unused

  • in the same condition you received it

  • returned with all original packaging, fittings, accessories and documentation

This applies to most small components such as pumps, meters, filters, breathers, nozzles, and hose kits.

Non-returnable items

Some products cannot be returned, including:

  • Gift cards

  • Downloadable/digital products

  • Intimate or sanitary goods

  • Perishable goods

  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids or gases

  • Custom-built or made-to-order items (including custom hose assemblies, certain dispensing setups and any tank fitted with optional upgrades or workshop-installed components)

  • Electrical items that have been installed or used

Items that may qualify for a partial refund

Partial refunds may be granted for:

  • Packaging missing or damaged

  • Items with signs of use

  • Items returned outside 30 days (case-by-case assessment)

  • Products missing components or damaged due to handling outside Fuel It’s control

To complete your return, we require proof of purchase (order confirmation or tax invoice).

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

All returns must be processed through Fuel It directly.


Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will email you to confirm:

  1. That we have received the item, and

  2. Whether your refund has been approved or rejected.

If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within a few business days.


Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund:

  1. Check your bank account again.

  2. Contact your credit card provider — processing can take several days.

  3. Contact your bank — refunds may take time to clear.

Sale Items

Sale or clearance items cannot be refunded unless they are faulty or required under ACL.


Exchanges

We replace items only if they are defective or damaged on arrival.

Gifts

If an order was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you, you may receive store credit for the returned item.

If the order was not marked as a gift, the refund will be issued to the original purchaser.

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless required under ACL.

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable. If a refund is approved, the cost of return postage may be deducted.

  • Large or bulky freight (e.g., tanks, pump kits on pallets) must be returned via a suitable freight service.

For items over $75, or any freighted equipment, we strongly recommend:

  • A tracked shipping service

  • Freight insurance

Fuel It cannot guarantee receipt without tracking.


Australian Consumer Law

 

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for major failures and compensation for damage reasonably foreseeable.

You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure is not major.
