SHIPPING & FREIGHT POLICY — FUEL IT
FREIGHT CONDITIONS
All freight for Fuel It orders is dispatched ex-works (ExW) unless otherwise agreed in writing. Once freight leaves our warehouse, risk transfers to the customer as outlined below.
Fuel It takes great care in packing goods, however freight risk sits with the customer unless insurance is purchased by the customer prior to dispatch.
INCOTERMS & TRANSFER OF RISK
Fuel It shipments operate under the Incoterm CPT — Carriage Paid To.
This means:

Fuel It covers the freight charge to the nominated delivery point

Risk transfers to the customer immediately upon pickup by the carrier
-
The customer is responsible for all risk of loss, damage or delays once the freight is collected from Fuel It
We strongly recommend customers arrange adequate freight insurance, particularly for:

Self-bunded tanks
-
Pump kits
-
Bulk orders
-
Generator hose assemblies
-
High-value components
OVERNIGHT / EXPRESS SERVICES
For urgent orders shipped via Overnight Express:

Orders must be delivered to the door
-
The customer must be available to receive the shipment
-
If the courier attempts delivery and no one is present, a futile delivery fee (typically $20) may apply

Fuel It is not responsible for express service delays caused by the carrier
DAMAGE, LOSS OR LATE DELIVERY
Fuel It accepts no responsibility for:

Damage in transit
-
Loss in transit
-
Delays or late delivery
-
Missed delivery windows
-
Carrier handling issues
-
Weather-related freight delays
Once the freight has been collected by the carrier, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the goods are properly insured.
If damage occurs, customers must:

Photograph all damaged packaging and goods
-
Note damage on delivery paperwork (if applicable)

Lodge a claim directly with the freight provider

Notify Fuel It immediately so we can assist where possible
LARGE FREIGHT / TANK SHIPMENTS
Due to the size and weight of BOX Self Bunded Tanks:

Delivery may require forklift access
-
Some carriers charge extra for tail-lift services
-
Remote or regional areas may incur surcharges
-
Delivery lead times vary depending on location and carrier availability
Fuel It will provide freight quotes at checkout (when supported by the customer’s plan) or via manual quotation.
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
The customer must ensure:

Delivery access is safe and unobstructed
-
The receiver or site representative is available during delivery hours
-
Correct delivery details are supplied
-
The carrier can safely unload the goods
Fuel It is not responsible for redelivery fees, futile delivery charges or storage fees resulting from incorrect or incomplete delivery information.
