Choose your size
Same pump, hose, nozzle and lid on both. The difference is how much fuel you carry between fills.

Everything locks away under the lid
The 12V pump, 4 m delivery hose, automatic shut-off nozzle and power cable all store inside the tank's lockable lid. Nothing is left hanging off the side to get damaged in transit or walk off a site overnight.
Clip the cable to a battery, lift the nozzle and pump. The mechanical level indicator shows what is left without power or an app.
The Fuel It 200L Poly Diesel Tank is a self contained diesel fuel point for generators, lighting towers, small plant and machinery. A 12V self priming pump rated at 40 L/min runs straight off a vehicle or equipment battery, so there is no mains power to find on site.
The pump, 4 m delivery hose and automatic shut-off nozzle all store under a lockable lid, out of the weather and secured when the tank is left unattended. A mechanical level indicator shows what is left, and a built in suction strainer screens debris before it reaches the pump.
Tanks are dispatched from South East Queensland and freight is calculated at checkout from your delivery address. Prices are shown ex GST, and GST is added at checkout.
Freight is booked with a carrier and risk passes to you once the carrier collects, so we recommend transit insurance. Full details are in our shipping policy.
Transport and storage requirements depend on your state, vehicle and site. Load restraint laws apply to every load; see the National Transport Commission Load Restraint Guide for Light Vehicles. For advice on carrying or storing diesel, contact your state transport authority or work health and safety regulator.
Questions buyers ask
A polyethylene diesel tank, a 12V self priming pump rated at 40 L/min, a 4 m delivery hose with an automatic shut-off nozzle, a 4 m power cable with alligator clips, a mechanical level indicator and a built in suction strainer. The pump, hose and nozzle store under a lockable lid.
Both carry the same pump, hose, nozzle and lid. The 200L suits top ups for a handful of machines, generators or lighting towers between fills. The 400L carries twice the fuel per fill, so it suits a busier site or a longer run between refills, but it is a heavier load when full. If you are unsure, call 1300 368 016 and tell us what you are refuelling.
The pump is rated at 40 L/min. Rated figures for transfer pumps are open flow, so the flow at the nozzle is usually lower once hose length and the tank being filled come into play. At the rated flow, 100 L takes at least two and a half minutes.
The pump is rated to run for up to 30 minutes at a time, then it needs to rest and cool before running again. Contact us for the recommended rest period.
From a 12V battery, through the 4 m power cable with alligator clips, so no mains power is needed on site. For the pump's current draw and advice on running it from your vehicle battery, call 1300 368 016 or email sales@fuelit.com.au.
No. The tank and pump are supplied for diesel only. Petrol gives off flammable vapour at normal temperatures and a 12V diesel transfer pump is not designed for it. Talk to us if you need equipment for AdBlue.
In Queensland, the Department of Transport and Main Roads advises that diesel transported on its own by road is not classified as a dangerous good for transport. Load restraint laws still apply to every load, and you need to stay within your vehicle's payload.
Diesel weighs about 0.82 to 0.85 kg per litre, so a full 200L tank carries roughly 164 to 170 kg of fuel and a full 400L tank roughly 328 to 340 kg, before the weight of the tank itself. Rules differ by state and by how the tank is used, so check with your state transport authority (in Queensland, TMR on dgu@tmr.qld.gov.au).
Yes. Every load must be restrained to the performance standards in the National Transport Commission's Load Restraint Guide for Light Vehicles.
The mechanical level indicator shows the fuel level at a glance, with no power or app needed.
Yes. The lid is lockable, and the pump, hose and nozzle store underneath it when the tank is not in use. Contact us to confirm whether a padlock is supplied.
The built in suction strainer screens debris before it reaches the pump. It is not a water separator. Our water in diesel guide covers how water gets into fuel and how to keep it out.
